About This Deal
The Deal
Uniting the flavours of Spain and Morocco, El Cantara serves up spicy and succulent dishes in the heart of Soho. Guests can begin with a cheeky tapas dish, like gambas al ajiollo of prawns with garlic, chilli and olive oil (usually £6.95), calamares (£5.45) or a Spanish omelette (£4.95). Mains include a lamb tagine (£16.50) or a mixed seafood grill (£17.90), while veggies can enjoy an empanade vegetal or puff pastry stuffed with vegetables and cheese (both £14.90). Sweet treats to finish feature creme Catalana of vanilla custard with a caramelised sugar top, churros, or baklawa (all £5.25).
The Merchant
Offering entertainment, Moorish flavours and exotic vibes, El Cantara in Soho emulates the sociable side of Spanish dining, while also summoning Moroccan chic. Traditional dishes feature ingredients sourced from London's markets, and span meaty feasts, fish-based options, and vegetarian foods too. While belly dancers, tarot readers and musicians keep things spiced up on selected evenings, guests can also enjoy Spanish and Moroccan beers, themed cocktails, or even relax on the shisha terrace until 1am.
