Who are Manchester Photographic?
Manchester Photographic is an independent photography collective, hosting a school, professional studios, exhibition gallery and conference facilities, with an aim to promote and sell photographic art. It recently relocated to a large studio space in the city's iconic Northern Quarter.

What are the courses like?
The courses are specifically designed to help budding photographers progress along a structured pathway to help them learn to create eye-catching photography. Using up-to-date instruction, courses range from camera control to the craft of photo compositions, and night-time city lights photography sessions.

What do the courses cover?
The beginner course helps learners gain control of their camera, finding out about DSLR features such as aperture, shutter speed, lenses and lighting. The intermediate course covers topics such as ISO variations, RAW files, composition and white balance, so that students can craft images rather than just take them. All students will produce images in a range of locations, using a range of techniques.

What about the tutors?
The experienced tutors are all published photographers, who specialise in a wide range of photography styles and themes, from reportage and travel to landscape and industrial.
