- Mangave plants are a hybrid cross between an Agave and Manfreda
- Hardier and faster-growing than an Agave
- No vicious spikes
- Fuller, tighter rosette form similar to an Echeveria
- Adds architectural look and wow factor to garden borders and containers
- Drought-tolerant and requires little watering
- Can be grown outside all year in areas with mild winters
- Requires frost-free greenhouse or conservatory in colder areas
- Mangave Collection includes three varieties: 'Moonglow', 'Pineapple Express, 'Silver Fox'
- 'Moonglow' has slender spikey leaves with silvery-blue foliage and dark-purple flecks
- 'Pineapple Express' has pointed, blue-green leaves with burgundy spots
- 'Silver Fox' has a silver rosette of thick, pointed, arching leaves
- Grow in free-draining soil or cactus compost
- Can be grown outdoors as a patio plant or in the sunny border
- Water regularly in summer, allow the compost to almost dry out between waterings
- Feed every 2 months with cactus fertiliser
- Supplied as pot-grown plants in 9cm nursery pots
- Best garden performance in full sun
