The Event
Nestled in the Mendip Hills above Cheddar, Mendips Raceway plays host to a metal-crunching day of under 1600cc banger-racing and stock cars, held on 25 May. Gates will open at 11am, and the fender-bending action will get under way at 1pm sharp. In addition, spectators can witness supporting classes such as round four of Reliant Robin Midland mayhem. One or two adults (usually £12 each) can head to the venue, just 22 minutes' drive from the M5, or a full family (£28) of two adults and three children aged 14 or under can enjoy the afternoon.
