Families of two adults and up to four children under 18 will have the chance to explore the working dairy farm and see, touch and maybe even handle cute creatures of all shapes and sizes. Chickens and rabbits, and sheep and horses fill the farm park, while newborn lambs are adorably bottle-fed at various intervals during the day. Once everyone’s tuckered out from exploring the outdoors, families can experience one of the activities or events held at the visitors centre, have a drink in the cafe, or even dip a spoon into one of the farm’s very own Lancashire Life Food and Drink award-winning ice creams.

##The Merchant Mrs Dowsons is a park and working dairy farm that makes its own brand of ice cream with the fresh dairy produce from its own cows, with flavours including cottage cookie, toffee, and unusual alternatives like vegetable and black pudding. The park allows families to see various animals, ranging from rabbits to horses and alpacas, or take part in annual attractions such as live lambing or Halloween’s Scare Kingdom, while outdoor spaces allow for games and playing on tractors. The indoor area can be hired for children’s birthday parties, and also features a classroom for school and group visits.
