When planting clematis, plant deeply in moist, fertile, well-drained soil with the top of the root ball at a depth of 7.5cm (3in) below soil level

When growing in patio pots use a soil-based compost such as John Innes No.3 and train plants onto a suitable support

Grow in containers, beds and borders

At maturity expect a height of 120cm (47in) and spread of 75cm (30in)
