Today's Groupon offers One or Two Original Veggie Beds, distributed by Van Meuwen.
- Strong and easy-to-assemble raised bed that is suitable for growing flowers, vegetables or herbs
- Corrugated steel raised beds with vintage appeal
- Made from durable and weather-proof zincalume steel with Colourbond coating that may last up to 4 times as long as normal galvanised steel
- Each bed can be constructed to form a rectangle or square bed in 6 different sizes
- Lay the flat pack sides out in the size and shape required, then fix them together using the tool and hardware supplied
- Finish the top edge by applying the plastic protective strip
- These hardwearing raised beds are a comfortable working height of 38-39cm (approx. 15'') based on recommended gravel base below.
- For the best results, construct them on level ground, preferably on a bed of 1-2cm of gravel to allow drainage and prevent deterioration of the bottom edge of the bed
Each bed can be set up in any of the following shapes and sizes:
- Oblong: 1.6m x 0.6m - requires 375 litres of compost
- Small rectangle: 0.9m x 0.6m - requires 225 litres of compost
- Small square: 0.6m x 0.6m - requires 100 litres of compost
- Medium rectangle: 1.3m x 0.6m - requires 250 litres of compost
- Large square: 0.9m x 0.9m - requires 250 litres of compost
- Large rectangle: 1.3m x 0.9m - requires 400 litres of compost
