Your detailed itinerary



DAY 1: AMMAN

On arrival, reception and assistance by our representative at Amman airport. He will be waiting for you with a sign with your name on it and will assist you before you pass through the border police and customs to obtain your visa. You will then head downstairs to pick up your luggage. Once your luggage has been collected, they will accompany you to your driver who will take you to your hotel in Amman for the night. Depending on the time of arrival and the traffic in Amman, the journey will usually take between 45 minutes and 1 hour. On arrival, check in at the hotel. The rest of the day is free.

DAY 2: DAY IN AMMAN

After breakfast, set off on a journey from the 2nd to the 12th century. After a lunch break, you will head for Ajloun, where you will visit the impressive Qal'at al Rabad, nestled at the top of a mountain. From the top, you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the Jordan Valley. Before sunset, return to Amman to visit the citadel, the temple of Hercules, the Roman theatre and take a walk in the old town. Return to the hotel.

DAY 3: MADABA - PETRA

After breakfast, you'll head off along the mythical King's Highway to the south of Jordan.

You'll stop off in Madaba along the way to visit the Greek Orthodox Church of St. George, made famous by its Byzantine mosaic map of the Holy Land from the 6th century, as well as other biblical sites. Then you'll head to Mount Nebo, the famous resting place of Moses, which offers a spectacular view of the Holy Land. Afterwards, we head for the castle of Kerak, which offers an impressive insight into the architectural and military skills of the Crusaders. Arrival in Petra at the end of the day.

DAY 4: DAY IN PETRA

After breakfast, departure for the magnificent city of Petra to discover its secrets and impressive canyons with your guide.

DAY 5 - PETRA - WADI RUM

After breakfast, it's off to the Wadi Rum desert and its mountainous landscapes for a desert adventure by 4X4, in a setting as surreal as the colours and relief of this magnificent desert.

Soak up the authentic Bedouin atmosphere. The itinerary includes a campfire, stargazing, and a traditional Jordanian meal. Experience a night in the desert, in a simple, minimalist camp.

DAY 6: WADI RUM - DEAD SEA

After breakfast, you'll head north to Jordan along the Wadi Araba road towards the Dead Sea. Not only is this the lowest point on earth, at 400 metres below sea level, but it is also considered one of the most spiritual landscapes in the world, teeming with spectacular natural wonders. Then a stop at Wadi Bin Hammid for a canyoning experience in one of Jordan's most beautiful wadis.

After breakfast, you will spend a free day at the Dead Sea to enjoy its magnificent scenery.

After breakfast, depending on your flight schedule, transfer to the airport for your return flight.

Day of arrival and welcome: Welcome and assistance by a local representative at Queen Alia airport; they will wait for you with a sign bearing the name of the local agency and will assist you before you pass through border control and customs to obtain your visa. You will then head downstairs to pick up your luggage. The local representative may have to wait at customs to collect other travellers, but once you have collected your luggage, they will accompany you to your driver, who will take you to your hotel in Amman for the night. The transfer will be in a group with other passengers. Depending on the time of arrival and the traffic in Amman, the journey will usually take between 45 minutes and 1 hour.

The visit order may be changed for logistical reasons.

As stated, the hotel has a five-star rating, based on local standards. The services provided may not be equivalent to French five-star standards.

Tipping: Tipping is an entirely personal gesture, the decision whether or not to tip or and how much is your own choice based on your satisfaction with the services received and your personal budget. That said, tips for the services provided are part of the local culture, are often expected and will be highly appreciated. Suggested amounts:
Tourist guides: 3-8 USD per person per day
Driver: 3-5 USD per person per day
Restaurants: 10% or leave the change
Petra Horseback Riding: 2-5 USD (we recommend that you do not ride horses for animal welfare and safety reasons, but the handlers may still expect a tip)

The currency used is the Jordanian dinar: bureaux de change and cash machines are available almost everywhere; your driver and/or guide can assist you with the transaction.

Optional tours: some additional options are available during the tours and will be proposed by your guide. Prices are often in Jordanian dinar. These excursions are optional, so it is up to you to decide whether or not to go on them.

Formalities



For French nationals, a passport valid for 6 months after arrival in the country and a visa are required.

Free visa (issued on site by a stamp at Amman airport): The visa cannot be obtained in advance, all visa procedures will be completed on arrival at Amman airport. In order for us to provide you with this free visa through our local agency in Jordan, please send us the following information upon confirmation of your booking: flight details and a copy of your passport (to be sent to us no later than 10 days before your arrival).

**After this notice period, you will have to pay for a visa upon arrival at the airport in Jordan. This will cost 40 JOD (pay in Jordanian dinars).

Good to know

If you are travelling alone, you will be asked to pay a surcharge for a single room. This additional charge will be automatically included in your quote.

Child rates will be applied for children from 2 to 12 years old in the case where the child shares the room with two adults. If the child is travelling with just one adult, the surcharge may be applied on an adult basis. If your child or children do not fit into the age group mentioned above, the rate will be communicated to you at the time of processing your order. If the room is equipped with a bunk bed, the bed height is not suitable for children under 6 years of age.

For safety reasons, the wellbeing facilities of most establishments are not accessible to children under 16 years old. Similarly, it is possible that some amenities or services require an additional charge or are unavailable for exceptional reasons.

Transportation

In order to best organise your time in the airport, we advise that you arrive 2 hours before boarding for a medium-haul flight, or 3 hours before boarding for a long-haul flight (more than 5 hours). Take advantage of your early arrival to pass through security and check your luggage.

You will have the opportunity to add additional luggage for a fee.

There are several different cities that are typically offered as departure points. Your arrival destination will show in your travel documents.

Depending on the flight schedule, some arrivals or returns may be made at night with early arrival or late departure. You will not always be able to have your room available immediately and will need to refer to the check-in and check-out conditions of the hotel.

In the event that your transfer is not included in your hotel reservation, it may be offered at the time of your reservation as an additional option. Unless specifically mentioned, transfers may be made in groups of 15 to 55 people.

IDENTITY

Please be sure to verify that your necessary Identification documents (passport and/or ID card dependent upon the country to which you will be travelling) have valid expiration dates, i.e. verify your ID documents have not yet expired.
