DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN NAIROBI

After your arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel.

DAY 2: NAIROBI - OL PEJETA SWEETWATERS

After breakfast, you will set off for the Laikipia region, arriving at the lodge for lunch before embarking on your first game drive in the reserve, which lasts until sunset.

DAY 3: SWEETWATERS - LAKE NAKURU

Start the day with a morning safari and admire the magnificent sunrise over the savannah. After breakfast, you will set off for Lake Nakuru. After check-in and lunch at the hotel and a moment to relax, you will set off on another safari in the park.

Meals and overnight stay at the camp.



DAY 4: LAKE NAKURU - MASAI MARA

After breakfast, you will leave for the Masai Mara Reserve. After lunch at the lodge, you will go on safari in the reserve until sunset.

DAY 5: MASAI MARA

You will spend the day in the Masai Mara reserve, where you can enjoy Kenya's flora and fauna.

DAY 6: MASAI MARA - NAIROBI

After breakfast, you will transfer to Nairobi National Reserve and your lodge. A night-time safari will be offered (optional night safari not included in the tour, at an additional cost).

DAY 7: NAIROBI - LAMU ISLAND

After breakfast, you will fly to the island of Lamu before being transferred by boat to your hotel. The rest of the time will be free.

DAY 8 TO DAY 10: LAMU BEACH EXTENSION

Make the most of these relaxing days on the island of Lamu in your five-star Majlis Lamu Hotel, where you can discover the island independently or thanks to the optional excursions offered at an additional cost. Enjoy your hotel and its facilities.

DAY 11: NAIROBI - RETURN FLIGHT

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Nairobi Airport for your return flight.

Day of arrival and welcome: On disembarking the plane, you will pass through the immigration offices where your visa will be checked. You will then collect your luggage and, on your way out, a local representative from SawaSawa Africa will be waiting for you in uniform with a sign bearing your name.

Hotel only package: for people booking the "hotel only" package (without international flights), please provide us with your flight details as soon as possible via the contact form in the "Help and contact" section at the bottom of the page, so that we can organise your transfers. The flights you choose should arrive before midday on day 1 and leave after 6 p.m. on day 7 so that you can take full advantage of the tour.

Please note: as indicated, all accommodation is rated five-star according to local standards. The services provided may not be equivalent to European five-star standards.

The order of the tours may change for logistical reasons.

Visa: All travellers to Kenya must be in possession of an ETA (Electronic Travel Authorization) before entering the Republic of Kenya (including minors).

No traveller can enter Kenya without a visa or an ETA (electronic travel authorisation).

The time taken to issue the ETA will be 3 days or 72 hours, although it may be shorter for nationals previously exempted.

Visas previously issued through the E-visa platform will still be honoured.

East African nationals will be exempt from the ETA application.

Children under the age of 16, who were previously exempt from the visa requirement, will now have to apply for an ETA.



Good to know

If you are travelling alone, you will be asked to pay a surcharge for a single room. This additional charge will be automatically included in your quote.

Child rates will be applied for children from 2 to 12 years old in the case where the child shares the room with two adults. If the child is travelling with just one adult, the surcharge may be applied on an adult basis. If your child or children do not fit into the age group mentioned above, the rate will be communicated to you at the time of processing your order. If the room is equipped with a bunk bed, the bed height is not suitable for children under 6 years of age.

For safety reasons, the wellbeing facilities of most establishments are not accessible to children under 16 years old. Similarly, it is possible that some amenities or services require an additional charge or are unavailable for exceptional reasons.

Unless otherwise stated in the service description, activities and any additional services available at destination, are provided in the language of the destination country and in English.

Transportation

Choose an offer and, according to your preferences, opt for a seat in economy, business or first class.

In order to best organise your time in the airport, we advise that you arrive 2 hours before boarding for a medium-haul flight, or 3 hours before boarding for a long-haul flight (more than 5 hours). Take advantage of your early arrival to pass through security and check your luggage.

You will be informed whether or not luggage is included at the time of your booking.

You will have the opportunity to add additional luggage for a fee.

There are several different cities that are typically offered as departure points. Your arrival destination will show in your travel documents.

Depending on the flight schedule, some arrivals or returns may be made at night with early arrival or late departure. You will not always be able to have your room available immediately and will need to refer to the check-in and check-out conditions of the hotel.

In the event that your transfer is not included in your hotel reservation, it may be offered at the time of your reservation as an additional option. Unless specifically mentioned, transfers may be made in groups of 15 to 55 people.

IDENTITY

Please be sure to verify that your necessary Identification documents (passport and/or ID card dependent upon the country to which you will be travelling) have valid expiration dates, i.e. verify your ID documents have not yet expired. Also, be sure to remember to bring these necessary documents with you. It is also recommended to make copies of all travel documents in the event of an emergency.
