DAY 1 - ARRIVAL IN PANAMA CITY

**Transfer from Tocumen International Airport to your hotel ** Duration: Approx. 40 mins.

Visit to Casco Viejo. Departure from the hotel for a visit to the historic Old Quarter, the "Casco Viejo" for a walk through history: from Spanish colonisation and the golden age of piracy, to the more modern era of great advances in engineering with the construction of the Panama Canal, first by France and then by the United States, both of which left their mark on the quarter's architecture and the country's culture. Duration: 4 hours

DAY 2 - DAY TRIP TO LAKE GATUN AND MIRAFLORES LOCKS

30 km from Casco Antiguo is the town of Gamboa, where our private boat will be waiting at the port to take us on a cruise on Lake Gatun, while our guide shares their knowledge of the natural surroundings of the lake and interesting historical aspects of the Panama Canal. On the way, you'll get a close-up view of the huge ships that pass through the canal and the banks where you may glimpse a crocodile or two. You'll visit different islands to see white-faced capuchin monkeys, Geoffroy's tamarins, and howler monkeys, as well as other animal species such as toucans, sloths, iguanas and numerous birds. Over the last two years, the "monkey island of the lake" has become a very famous tourist attraction, which is why the expedition we offer maintains different timetables according to the season and a more extensive circuit that plunges into unexplored corners of the lake where there is lush vegetation. It is worth mentioning that the assigned guide is local, active and has the ability to locate and recognise species that are easily confused with each other in the lake. After lunch in a local restaurant, your guide will take you to the Miraflores Lock reception centre to watch the big boats pass through, this time from a different perspective. We recommend that you bring warm clothing, as the air-conditioned temperatures at the Miraflores visitor centre are a little low. Duration: 8 hours.

DAY 3 - EMBERA PURU TOUR

An hour from the city, departing from the **port of Corotú, located on the lake Alajuela, you will board a "piragua", a traditional handmade pirogue, which will take you through the lush greenery of the River Chagres. You'll sail to the foothills of the indigenous community to discover exclusive beaches where you'll have free time to enjoy a swim and a cool drink. At lunchtime, you'll enjoy a traditional meal prepared on site, to which we'll add avocados, coffee and seasonal fruit. On the way back, you'll head for the entrance to a path that ends at a picturesque waterfall (the walk takes around 15-25 minutes, depending on the season, which affects the water level and changes the path). The indigenous community we will visit is one of the furthest from the city, so you have a chance to enjoy wild beaches without hordes of people. For greater safety, we rely on our indigenous guides, whom we've had a very good relationship with for years and who know the park's terrain and climate perfectly, as well as our dynamics when it comes to walking or going to the river. Duration: 7 hours.

Recommendations: wear comfortable walking clothes and shoes that you can get wet, swimwear, sun cream, sunglasses, a hat, a change of clothes, a camera and light clothes.

DAY 4 - HEAD FOR DAVID

Transfer from our hotel to Albrook Airport. Approx. 20 mins. **The maximum authorised weight is 20kg per luggage item. Any luggage exceeding this weight limit will incur an additional charge to be paid directly at the airport.

A private vehicle will take you from David airport to Finca Lerida. Journey time: approx. 1 hour 20 mins.

DAY 5 - FINCA LERIDA COFFEE TOUR

Today's itinerary includes a visit to Finca Lérida, founded in 1922, to discover its history, its coffee production system and its plantations. The tour ends at the Tasting Table, where the lengthy, intense and complex coffee-making process comes to an end. It's also the place where you discover whether or not an entire year's work has produced a high-quality coffee. We discover the different varieties of coffee and learn to distinguish the different tones of flavour. Duration: Approximately 1 hour 30 mins.

DAY 6 - HEAD FOR BOCAS DEL TORO

**Transport from Boquete to Bocas del Toro (Almirante area). Duration: approx. 3.5 hours.

DAY 7 - BOCAS DEL TORO
