Day 1 | Bogotá Airport - Bogotá

Arrival at Bogotá airport, the Andean capital**; welcome and transfer to your hotel. Check-in at the hotel for 3 nights with a breakfast-included package.

Day 2 | Walking tour of Bogotá

Discover Bogotá the way the "rolos" (nickname of the inhabitants of Bogota) live. The walking tour of the capital takes us to the most authentic and historic places in the city.

La Candelaria is the historical centre of Bogotá, a charming place with colourful houses, carved wooden balconies, and flower-filled patios. On the agenda: Plaza de Bolivar, Plaza del Chorro with artists and colonial houses**.

Day 3 - Historical tour of Villa de Leyva

Breakfast included at the hotel then private transfer from Bogota to Villa de Leyva.

Guided walking tour including the historic centre of the town with the huge Plaza Mayor, cafés, craft shops, and a wool-weaving workshop, a relic of Spanish colonisation where you can find out how the mill worked and what life was like for the local population at the time. **Carmelitas descalzas convent: a community of Carmelite nuns has lived here in permanent seclusion since the convent was founded in 1645. They devote themselves entirely to manual labour and prayer. Duration of guided tour: 3 hours.

Day 4 - Cultural and artistic walking tour of Barichara

Breakfast included at the hotel followed by private transfer from Villa de Leyva to Barichara along the Andes Route. Journey time: approximately 4 hours.

Visit to the UNESCO World Heritage town of Barichara, situated at an altitude of 1,340 metres, which many artists and artisans have made their home. Stroll along the cobbled streets, visit the churches and parks, and enjoy the view of the **Suárez Canyon. The tour ends with a visit to one of the local artisanal workshops: painting, paper craft, sculpture, or tobacco, depending on your interests. Duration of guided tour: 4 hours.

Day 5 - Barichara

Breakfast included at the hotel; then, a free day in Barichara. Start your day with a stroll through the cobbled streets, admire the Church of Santa Barbara, and explore the handicraft workshops. You can also go hiking on la ruta de los pueblos de piedra, which offers spectacular views and leads you to the nearby village of Guane.

Day 6 - Head to the coffee region

Breakfast included at the hotel, followed by transport from Barichara to Bucaramanga airport through the majestic landscapes of the Chicamocha Canyon.

Private transfer from Pereira airport to Salento. Journey time: approximately 1 hour.

Day 7 - Tour of Cocora Valley and Bosques de Niebla

Breakfast included at the hotel, followed by departure from Salento in Willys Jeeps in the early morning for the Cocora Valley. Following your guide, discover an extraordinary valley where the wax palms, the national tree, give the landscape a surreal look. You'll also discover the Bosques de Niebla (cloud forests), a very special ecosystem where we can observe some typical birds of the region. Return to Salento for lunch. Walking time: 4 hours.

Day 8 - Salento

Breakfast included at the hotel, followed by a free day including a stroll through the colourful streets of Salento, where you can admire traditional architecture and visit local craft shops. For lunch, choose from one of the many restaurants serving typical local dishes such as fresh trout or corn-based recipes; then, relax in the main square while admiring the sunset over this charming village at the end of the day. Salento promises you a relaxing day full of discoveries!

Day 9 - Head to Medellín

Breakfast included at the hotel followed by transport from Salento to Pereira airport. Journey time: approx. 1 hour.

Day 10 - Guatape

Breakfast included at the hotel, followed by a private transfer from Medellín to **Guatape, waiting time and return to Medellín.

You'll have free time to explore this charming little village on your own, so why not set off to climb the rock known as Piedra el Peñol? "Piedra del Peñol" is a 220-metre-high monolith, an enormous granite mass composed of quartz, feldspar, and mica that was climbed in 1954 by a local Luis Eduardo Villegas López. Guatape has gained in popularity over the years, not only because of its unusual rock, but also because from the top of the steps you'll find an extraordinary landscape of lagoons on which you can sail (or try your hand at some other water sports!).

For those who love adventure and meeting local people somewhere off the beaten track, there's an early departure from the hotel to La Boquilla. Arrival in this fishing village, home to an Afro-Carthaginian community. The locals share their traditional fishing techniques: net fishing and crab fishing. We'll then discover the secrets of coastal cuisine and learn how to cook fish and crabs with coconut rice. Sample your catch as we dine with the family of the fisherman accompanying us. Return to Cartagena in the early afternoon. Journey time: 20 min. Duration: approximately 6 hours.
