Dinner on your own.

Night at your hotel.

Day 2: Discovery of Hanoi and its old town

Breakfast at the hotel.
The day is free to explore the city at your leisure.

Built on the site of the ancient citadel of Dai La, Hanoi was first chosen as the capital of Vietnam** in 1010 by King Ly Thai Tô, under the name of Thang Long, the "city of the ascending dragon". It was also called Dông Kinh (capital of the East), deformed into Tunquin, then Tonkin by the Europeans, a name which in colonial times designated the north of the country (now Bac Bo). The name Hanoi only appeared later, in 1831. It's made up of "ha", meaning "river", and "noi", meaning "below". The city is in fact located on the banks of the Red River... The many lakes that dot the city are pools left behind by the Red River as it moved east over the centuries. Hanoi's old quarter is a fascinating place to visit and ideal for photos!

Lunch and dinner on your own.

Overnight at your hotel.

Optional visit to Hanoi's old quarters and its gastronomy (1/2 day - private excursion).

Day 3: Cruise and overnight stay in Halong Bay

Breakfast at your hotel.
Morning departure from your hotel by minibus for Halong Bay. Board your junk at around 12:30 pm. Classified as a "natural beauty" by UNESCO in 1993, Halong Bay stretches for hundreds of kilometers. Erosion has created the distinctive shapes of its caves and landscapes.

Lunch at the start of your cruise. Stop to visit the Sung Sot Grotto.

In the afternoon, you'll have the chance to relax or swim on the Titov beach or climb to the top of the island for a panoramic view of Halong Bay. Continuation of the cruise, where you'll enjoy a marvellous sunset.

Dinner with local flavors.

Night on board.

Nota bene :
All cabins have a double bed and private shower room. The cruise will be accompanied by an English-speaking guide.

Day 4: Departure to Hue by night train

Breakfast on board and opportunity to take part in a Tai Chi session
For those who wish, kayak trip in the Bo Nau area.

Around 10 a.m., a Vietnamese cooking class** will be offered.

Please note: breakfast on board the train is not included. Please bring a snack.

Day 6: Departure for Hoi An via the Ocean Cloud Pass

Arrival in Hoi An. Check-in at your hotel.

Dinner and overnight at your hotel.

Days 7 and 8: Sightseeing and relaxation in Hoi An

Spend the day relaxing on the beach.

Hoi An is a charming historic town, bordered by the Thu Bon River**. As the old town is closed to cars, it's great fun to stroll around on foot, leisurely strolling from street to street... A particularly peaceful atmosphere emanates from this city.

Hoi An's ancient architecture dates back to the 19th century, and includes residential quarters, shops, temples, pagodas and communal houses. We recommend you rent bicycles or motorbikes** to get around freely (extra charge on site). Take the road to An Bang and enjoy the green countryside with its many rice paddies.

If you make a small detour to Tra Que, you'll find an organic village where vegetables are grown without pesticides or GMOs.)
