Your detailed itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Mombasa - Leopard Beach Resort

On arrival at the airport in Mombasa, you will be met and transferred to your five-star Leopard Beach Resort hotel. You will stay in a Superior Room.

Overnight stay at Leopard Beach Resort on a half-board basis.

Day 2: Leopard Beach Resort

Take advantage of this free day to rest and relax at the beach. You can also book activities on-site (at an additional cost) such as dolphin watching, a Wasini Island tour or a Mombasa city tour.

Suggested Mombasa City Tour (duration 4 hrs): Morning city tour of Mombasa. The city dates back to the 12th century when spice traders arrived from Arabia sailing along the trade routes. See the famous elephant tusks along Moi Avenue, then visit the historic old town district, dominated by the medieval Fort Jesus built by the Portuguese in the 16th century with its ancient mosques and bustling narrow streets. Continue to the spice market and then return to the hotel. (The entrance fee to the Fort Jesus Museum is about €12 per person, not included, payable directly on-site if you wish to enter the museum).

Day 3: Leopard Beach Resort - Tsavo East National Park

Morning check-out from your hotel room. Pick up from your hotel at 6 a.m. and departure for Tsavo East National Park. Once in the park, the driver will open the roof of your bus, so you can stand with the wind in your face. Welcome to Africa, the safari has begun! Tsavo is the largest national park in Kenya. It is divided from east to west by the motorway.

Keep your eyes peeled for the chance to see the large herds of buffalo, elephants, zebras and impala. Masai giraffes and hippos also roam Kenya's largest national park.

You will arrive at your lodge in time for lunch. Enjoy some free time and relax before leaving for your afternoon safari. You will return to the lodge at sunset. Dinner at the lodge.

Overnight stay at Voi Safari Lodge (or similar) on a full-board basis.

Day 4: Tsavo East National Park - Leopard Beach Resort

Early morning safari in the park, followed by breakfast at the lodge, then drive back to your Diani Beach hotel to arrive late afternoon. Dinner at the hotel.

Days 5 to 7: Leopard Beach Resort

Free days at Leopard Beach Resort. After your safari, unwind by the pool or on the beautiful white sandy beach. Take advantage of the treatments and massages offered by the spa and wellness centre to relax. A number of activities are run daily by the hotel's entertainment team. You can also book day trips or excursions to Wasini Island, go on a Mombasa city tour and go dolphin watching on-site (at an additional cost). Dinners at the hotel.

Wasini Island Tour Suggestions (duration 8 hrs): Pick up from hotel reception for a day trip to Wasini Island and Shimoni fishing village. A day of snorkelling and dolphin watching. A delicious local Swahili lunch is served on the island. Return to the hotel in the evening.

Nights will be spent at the Leopard Beach Resort on a half-board basis.

Day 8: Leopard Beach Resort - Departure from Mombasa

Pick up from your hotel depending on your flight schedule, then transfer to Mombasa airport for your return flight.

During your stay, you will be accommodated in a 4* hotel.

Good to know

Your safari includes: Airport pick-up and assistance; a 6-seater panoramic open-top safari bus with a driver/guide; entry fees; government taxes.

The organisation and itinerary of the holiday, as well as the accommodation during the safari, may need to be changed according to availability. Alternative lodge accommodation of a similar quality will be provided if necessary.

The prices of park entry fees and other fees are subject to change without notice. You will be informed of any potential increase.

Upon arrival at the hotel, our local representative will provide you with dates and information regarding the safari trip.

Please note that your safari will take place during your stay at the hotel and that you will need to check out of the hotel before going on the safari. We recommend you bring a separate bag for the safari; your suitcase will stay with the hotel's concierge.

The transport to the safari site is by bus but safaris are in a minibus with a driver/guidewith and a maximum capacity of 6 people.

Tips for guides are not included in the price; please allow £3 to £4 per person, per day.

Good to know

If you are travelling alone, you will be asked to pay a surcharge for a single room. This additional charge will be automatically included in your quote.

Child rates will be applied for children from 2 to 12 years old in the case where the child shares the room with two adults. If the child is travelling with just one adult, the surcharge may be applied on an adult basis. If your child or children do not fit into the age group mentioned above, the rate will be communicated to you at the time of processing your order. If the room is equipped with a bunk bed, the bed height is not suitable for children under 6 years of age.

IDENTITY

Please be sure to verify that your necessary Identification documents (passport and/or ID card dependent upon the country to which you will be travelling) have valid expiration dates, i.e. verify your ID documents have not yet expired.
