The Deal
Avid adventurers can get to grips with the 121 climbing lines and 14m high main wall at Reading Climbing Centre. The introductory taster session for two (usually £60) or four (£80) lasts one hour and takes learners through the basics of climbing with one of the centre's instructors. All equipment and entry is included.

Reading Climbing Centre boasts 121 climbing lines, two dedicated bouldering areas and one traversing room. Climbers young and old, experienced and beginner, are welcomed to the centre where a range of courses caters for a variety of ability levels. The main wall is 14 metres high and beset by climbing lines in a multifaceted array of shapes and sizes, pointing to the walls original existence as a steel climbing forge. There is a cafe and a shop on-site to see to kit, caboodle and eating needs. Clubs include the women's club, RockIts for 7-11 year-olds and Hang Time for 11-17 year-olds.
