Launching a new way of lunching, River Thames Tours is offering a barbecue cruise down the Thames past the capital’s iconic cityscape. Leaving dry land behind at Westminster Pier for approximately 2.5 hours, individuals or parties of two can enjoy marinated barbecue chicken, cumberland sausages or a variety of vegetarian options. The accompanying buffet includes hot jacket potatoes and butter, coleslaw salad and assorted mixed seasonal salad. Buffets and city skylines will be complemented by an on-board bar.

Barbecue:

• Flamed meat burgers with a variety of relishes sauces and mustards

• Butchers-style pork and herb sausages in a fried onion jus

• Barbecued chicken thighs in mushrooms and rich tomato provencal sauce

Vegetarian options can be pre-booked

Buffet:

• Tomato and pasta salad, coleslaw and seasonal salad

Dessert:

• Fresh fruit, cheesecake and fresh cream

The Merchant

Thames River Tours cater for aquatic voyages for groups anywhere between ten and 240 people. Expeditions range from serene Sunday lunch jazz trips, to Thames circulars and white-knuckle speedboat rides. Private boat hire can also be arranged if preferred.
