About This Deal
The Deal
Teaching climbers how to navigate the unroped walls, a bouldering induction (usually £20) at Rockantics covers both etiquette and style. On entry (£6), guests will be handed a pair of hire shoes (£2) and shown the safe practices on the wall, as well as general climbing techniques to help them on their way. Just in case of any slips, the correct procedure for how to fall and land will also be shown. The fun doesn't end there, as guests can then put their knowledge to the test with a day pass (£1.50) on the wall.
The Merchant
With centres in Middlesborough and Newton Aycliffe, Rockantics provides plenty of challenges for climbers of varying abilities. While the Middlesborough climbing wall has 200 boulder problems on their main wall, they also offer a smaller area for young children to practice on. The Newton Aycliffe nine-metre climbing wall boasts varying rock surfaces and textures to keep climbers on their toes. For something different, both centres also run outdoor activities such as coasteering and gorge walking.
