- Small ornamental shrub with a bushy, compact, round shape, ideal for smaller gardens
- Features oval leaves with dark green and occasional red-purple tints
- Blooms in May and June with a profusion of scarlet, trumpet-shaped flowers
- Flowers have a slight fragrance and re-bloom in late summer and autumn
- One of the most popular red-flowering Weigela varieties
- Originally from East Asia, known for its exuberant trumpet-shaped flowers
- Suitable as a border shrub or a solitary shrub in smaller gardens
- Flowers grow in elongated clusters, attracting honeydew and butterflies
- Thrives in moist soil with full sun but can also grow in partial shade
- Low maintenance with no specific soil requirements
- Requires annual pruning after flowering to encourage growth and future blooms
