About Saberwars

Saberwars was formed to offer people authentic duelling experiences without the structure of traditional disciplines. The idea being that through self expression and the use of music we can achieve a zen like state when duelling with others often learning through doing and having a lot more fun along the way.  I started this business in the form of an online lightsaber retailer 2-3 years ago now. I found that they used a grub screw system that wore the blades down through extended use. I advised the manufacturer that this wasn't suitable for what I had in mind. Around 18 months later they informed me they had finally fixed this problem and so that is the sabers we stock and use for our duelling sessions. These things are unique, robust, don't wear down, cannot be broken and have incredible sound and effects. They really are the pinnacle of duelling sabers and you can experience them at Saberwars today! Our vision was always to offer people full contact duelling with Armour, however creating this has been tricky, developing fully customisable armour isn't easy and is taking longer than expected. However non contact duelling and choreography training through a strike system is something I would offer in the future as a kind of class to the Saberwars experience... So I have decided to call it Vibesaber and that is what is on offer today, duelling to the music in an immersive environment in Glasgow City Centre.  We are just starting out, but we know you will love what we have in store, it is unlike anything else in the country!
