About This Deal
The Palace
Shakespeare wrote "So, thanks to all at once, and to each one, whom we invite to see us crown’d at Scone." Once the crowning place of the Kings of Scots, Scone Palace is the home of the 'The Moot Hill' where Robert the Bruce was crowned in 1306. The palace houses an extensive collection of antiques, paintings and rare artefacts for visitors to enjoy, and is set in the Mansfield Estate, which stretches from the River Tay to North Logiealmond. The grounds host the Murray Star Maze, made up of 200 beech trees in copper and green to create the illusion of tartan, and the adventure playground where kids can play and explore. Families of two adults and up to three children can also meet some four-legged residents, including June the donkey, miniature shetland ponies and highland cattle.
Reviews
Ranked number three of TripAdvisor's top attractions in Perth, Scone Palace boasts an average of 4.5/5 stars from enthusiastic reviewers, who especially praised the helpful staff, variety of activities on offer and the rich, well-preserved history.
