About This Deal
The Deal
Self-hire punts can glide leisurely along four kilometres of the River Cam. The boat fits up to six people, and comes complete with a paddle, cushions and the trusty punting pole. Lifejackets and dry bags are also available on request, along with punting tips from the fleet's staff, before boats are launched for the day. Punts are available from 9am, and should be returned by dusk (the day's closing time displayed on the station).
The Merchant
River-bourne sports and leisurely activities are among the raft of services provided by Scudamore's Punting Company. Started as a motorboat and rowing boat company, the business had since moved into offering punts, Canadian canoes and kayaks. Based in two locations at either edge of the College Backs, the Scudamore's boatyard is at Granta Place near the Mill Pond.

Purchase: Limit 1 per 6 people.
Redemption: No booking required. Present Groupon on arrival.
Further information: Valid Mon-Sun 9am at Scudamore’s Boatyard until dusk. Must be 18 or over. Maximum 6 people per punt. Life jackets and dry bags are available on request. From mid-November to mid-February, the route will change from Grantchester to the College Backs. Hire subject to Scudamore’s Self Hire Terms & Conditions.
