The Merchant

Combining a courtroom setting and Asian-fusion cuisine, Silk Restaurant is lit by a vaulted glass ceiling and framed in English oak panelling. Starting life as Great Marlborough Street Magistrates Court, the building still features the original judge’s bench, dock and witness stand where Napoleon, Oscar Wilde and Sir Mick Jagger once stood trial. Customers can take a culinary journey through the historical silk route in Asia, dining on a taste fusion of once-rare spices and traditional English fare.
