The Deal

After a short welcome and safety induction, guests will be let loose to boulder, abseil and ascend the various walls The Climbing Hangar has to offer. Young children can start to learn the sport on the Ship and Castle, designed with the holds closer together, while adults can visit the arena, the traversing area or tackle a cave downtown. Constructed with all strengths and abilities in mind, the centre has something for everyone including a training area for people who want to advance quicker, and roping facilities for school/youth groups who require roped climbing for GSCE, BTEC awards or NICAS schemes.

• £5 for induction and full-day climbing for one under 14 and one non-climbing adult (62% off)

The Merchant

The Climbing Hangar houses 1000 square meters of climbing area, form gravity assisted balance slabs to large overhangs. They reset one section a week so visitors are able to find something new on most of their climbs. The centre is open seven days a week and is also home to a relaxing cafe with viewing sofas, so guests can watch their friends and family climb.
