Clients can unwind with a choice of bamboo or full body massage (usually up to £70 per person) using Pervonia products, or a 60 minute Elemis Skin Specifics facial. Either treatment lasts approximately 50 minutes, with appointments including the use of robes, towels and slippers. Visitors can also make use of the spa’s leisure facilities for a day (£49 per person, off peak), which includes the relaxation areas, sauna and steam rooms, gym facilities, swimming pool and more. Guests can also add an optional light spa lunch to the day’s proceedings.

Sitting on the outskirts of Chester, The Club and Spa forms part of Doubletree by Hilton Chester hotel. The health club consists of a gym, pool, thermal areas, aerobics studio and treatment rooms. The Spa offers body, facial, massage and nail treatments that can be enjoyed individually or as part of a package tailored to the client’s needs. Dining options include The Lounge and Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar & Grill, available to both spa and hotel guests.

The Club and Spa was a finalist for the 2011-12 Pevonia Hotel or Day Spa of the Year award, while the Doubletree by Hilton Chester has received 4/5 stars and a Certificate of Excellence 2014 from reviewers on TripAdvisor. While reviews focused on the accommodation, recent visitors were keen to compliment the standard of the service, as well as the food at the hotel. The bulk of the praise was reserved for the quality of the spa and leisure facilities, along with the rooms themselves.
