The Deal
From biriyanis to vindaloos, The Raj Balti serves up a large selection of Indian dishes to suit a range of palates. First comes the starter from a selection including seikh kebab (usually £3.75), and vegetable pakora (£3.25) A main course such as king prawn biryani (£11.95) is available for those who enjoy a dish rich in herb and spice, or nawabi khana, a dish consisting of 21 individually roasted ingredients that can come in chiken (up to 312.95). Alongside this, diners will have a choice of side dish including sag aloo and rajama bhaj (all £3.25), a plain naan (£2.20), and a choice of pilau rice (£2.50) or chips (£2.50). All of this can be enjoyed alongside a small glass of wine (£2.95).
The Merchant
The Raj Balti is a newly-opened Indian restaurant in Matlock. Diners can eat from the set menu for two, three or four people, or sample some of the speciality dishes such as the punjabi masala special or the tandoori king crab. They offer a large selection of Indian fare and are keen that all customers get exactly what they want, therefore if diners do not see their favourite dish on the menu, they can phone ahead and request it, and the chef will try and prepare it especially.
