A six-course tasting menu sends diners on a pan-Asian culinary journey along The Silk Road. The menu begins with five separate dishes such as a lasooni murgh tikka (£4.95), made with chicken, ginger, garlic, chilli and cheese; and a vegetable samosa. Main dishes include a chicken tikka with a cashew nut and tomato sauce (£8.95), and a coconut lamb curry (£8.95). Sides including saag aloo (£6.95), rice (£3.25) and naan (£1.95) accompany meals. Clients can opt to add a classic cocktail to the mix, such as a mojito or an old fashioned margarita.

The Merchant

A restaurant and bar inspired by the lands along the historic trade route, The Silk Road flaunts family recipes to give customers an authentic taste of the sub-continent. Guests can sip cocktails in the restaurant’s relaxed lounge area, or take on a more active role with a cocktail masterclass. Private hire is available for parties and events, while diners can drop in seven days a week for lunch or dinner.
