The Deal

With an emphasis on modern English dishes, The Terrace restaurant welcomes guests in for a thoroughly British affair. To begin, starters include options such as confit pork and foie gras terrine (usually £9), a trio of melon balls, caramelised figs and gine and tonic sorbet (£8) or lobster salad (£8). For the main event, guests can tuck into a choice of dish, maybe opting for a Yorkshire lamb loin with turnips and butternut squash purée (£24), or a butternet squash ravioli and goat’s cheese rolls (£14). A choice of sweet rounds off the meal, such as a classic rhubarb and elderflower crumble (£8), or a lemon tart infused with raspberries (£7). Each meal will also be accompanied by a glass of bubbly.

The Merchant

Oak panel doors, an open fireplace and floral curtains create an elegant atmosphere to match the classic English menu at The Terrance Restaurant. Dinner is served Thursday through to Monday in the Georgian and Victorian-style restaurant, and is complimented by a brimming wine menu. The ivy-clad façade of Nidd Hall sits snug just outside of Harrogate, and offers both leisure facilities and outdoor activities for guests.
