Product Details
Today’s Groupon offers Scandi Mixed Houseplants, distributed by Van Meuwen.
- A collection of Scandi lifestyle-inspired air-purifying plants
- Each collection contains a mix of easy-care varieties
- Varieties are selected at random from seasonally available stock
- 3 or 6 different varieties provided
- Plants are supplied in 12cm nursery pots
- Estimated height when fully grown: 25-30cm
- Please note: decorative pots shown in photos are not supplied
- Plants will be named on arrival and may include the following varieties:
Dracaena Fragrans (Corn Plant)
- Popular for its shiny, handsome leaves
- Reasonable humidity is required to prevent blemishes, misting is a good way to achieve this as well as helping to keep the leaves dust-free
- Regular feeding during spring and summer is recommended
- Water well and then wait for the top inch of the soil to dry out before watering again
- For best performance, position in light shade or gently filtered sunlight
Dracaena Marginata (Madagascar Dragon Tree)
- Quite slow-growing, the green leaves have a narrow red-purple edge
- Reasonable humidity is required with regular feeding in spring and summer
- Keep the soil moist at all times (but never soggy)
- Light shade is best
Chamaedorea palm (Parlour Palm)
- Eye-catching and delicate light green fronds, it is a slow grower
- Water well, then wait until the surface of the soil has dried out, at which point water well again
- Use a general feed once every couple of months
- Low light will be tolerated but the ideal spot would be a bright position with a little sun during part of the day
Ficus elastic (Rubber Plant)
- Popular ornamental plant with shiny leather type leaves
- Water well, then wait until the surface of the soil has dried out, at which point water well again
- Use a weak feed every couple of waterings during spring and summer
- Tough plant ideal for a well-lit spot with some indirect sun
Dieffenbachia (Dumb Cane)
- Eye-catching foliage
- Versatile house plant
- Water well, then wait until the surface of the soil has dried out, at which point water well again
- Feed in the growing season at half strength every month or so
- Position in indirect bright light
Codiaeum (Croton)
- Waxy leaves
- Soil needs to be evenly moist for the majority of the time during growing (warmer) months
- Feed about once a month at normal strength
- Provide good bright light but avoid really hot direct sunlight
