Visit: HMS Caroline
HMS Caroline is a First World War Light Battle Cruiser which opened to the public for the first time in June 2016. Visitors will discover an astonishing survivor of the First World War that was in continuous service for almost 100 years, many of which served in Belfast, her home for over 90 years.
As soon as you step onboard HMS Caroline you can see a powerful film on the drama of Jutland and experience impressively restored cabins and deck areas as well as an array of state-of-the-art interactive exhibits.
Soak up the atmosphere as you discover some of the original features, from the compasses and telegraphs on the ship’s bridge, to the living quarters and engine rooms.
Don’t miss the chance to eat and drink (at own expense) in the First Rates Mess Café onboard this historic ship.
Join in with the fun at the Signal School and see contemporary exhibits, many of which are interactive, about communication at sea. Ascend into the Torpedo School which focuses on naval weaponry and dazzle. Then head to the Virtual Access Suite where you will be able to see areas of the ship that can’t usually be explored.
