About This Deal

Itinerary

Day 1: Stirling, the Trossachs National Park, the Highlands with Glencoe, Fort William, the Highlands of Scotland

Stop At: Stirling Castle, Castle Esplanade Upper Castle Hill, Old Town, Stirling FK8 1EJ Scotland
The first stop on this journey is Stirling, once the Capital of Scotland. You’ll have the opportunity to visit the Castle or to enjoy a leisurely stroll in the Old Town at your own pace. Our expert tour guides will tell you all about the dramatic past of this city and enthral you with the tales of William Wallace, Robert the Bruce, and Mary Queen of Scots.
Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Trossachs Trail Loop, Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park Scotland
The tour takes you to the Trossachs National Park. The first stop along the way is near Callander, where you come face to face with our national mascots: the Highland Cows, with their funny fringes and their kind nature.
Duration: 15 minutes

Stop At: Glencoe Lochan, Glencoe Village Scotland
The landscape of the Highlands will be showing itself in all its glory from this moment onward: all around you’ll see dramatic valleys (that we call Glens and Straths), Lochs, mountains and what’s left of the Caledonian Forest. Next stop is beautiful Glencoe. This valley is as beautiful as it’s got the most tragic past you could ever imagine. No spoilers at this stage - just make sure to ask your tour guide on the day what happened there!
Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Fort William VisitScotland iCentre, 15 High Street, Fort William PH33 6DH Scotland
The tour then takes you to Fort William, where you’ll see the highest mountain of Britain and Harry Potter’s Hogwarts Express Train at the Train Station.
Duration: 30 minutes

No meals included on this day.
Accommodation included: This tour does not include accommodation.

Day 2: Fairy Pools, Talisker, Dunvegan Castle, Fairy Glen, Quiraing, Kilt Rock, Old Man of Storr, Portree

Stop At: Fairy Pools, Road to Glenbrittle Glenbrittle, IV47 8TA Scotland
We begin our journey with a drive to the Fairy Pools in the shadow of the Cuillin Mountains. The pools are located in one of the most dramatic landscapes on Skye. The fairies are reputed to bathe here, in the crystal clear green pools of the River Brittle. Weather permitting, you can swim in the pools of the river.
Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Talisker Distillery, Carbost IV47 8SR Scotland
We move on to Talisker Distillery based in Carbost, producing a lovely Peated Single Malt Scotch. Here you can enjoy a nose around the Visitor Centre and a taste a dram or 2 if you fancy (this pit stop does not include full tour of the Distillery).
Duration: 20 minutes

Stop At: Dunvegan Castle & Gardens, MacLeod Estate, Dunvegan House, Dunvegan IV55 8WF Scotland
In Dunvegan you can enjoy the visit of the castle belonging to one of the two main clans of the Isle of Skye, the Clan MacLeod.
Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Fairy Glen, Scotland
Folklore goes that this is the most important meeting place of the fairies on Skye. Wander between countless conical mounds, known in the Highlands as fairy knowes; put your ears to the grass and listen for the fairies at work inside. Bend down to search for elves in the glen's miniature forests, take the twisted path to the top of the fairy castle, or walk the faun’s maze and have a wish granted!
Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Quiraing Viewfield Road, Portree IV51 9ES Scotland
We take the opportunity to drive right up to the Trotternish ridge at the Quiraing, lying in the far North of Skye. The Quiraing is a landscape used in many sci-fi films, known for its wonderful rock formations and stunning coastal views. This is a place like no other, part of the largest landslip in Europe.
Duration: 15 minutes

Stop At: Kilt Rock, Scotland
From the Quiraing we move towards Kilt Rock, home to the dinosaurs of Skye’s ancient past.

Kilt Rock will take your breath away with its distinctive pillars and beautiful waterfall with views across to the Torridon Hills on the mainland.
Duration: 15 minutes

Stop At: The Old Man of Storr, Scotland
We drive South and reach the Old Man of Storr, probably the most iconic natural feature of the Isle of Skye. The ridge is a mighty inland cliff, the longest in the UK, rising to a height of 720m. The Old Man is a 200ft stone pillar, which has detached itself from the highest point of the ridge, creating a fantastical landscape of twisted rocks, looming shadows and swirling mists, film location for, among others, Ridley Scott’s 2012 “Prometheus”.

Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Loch Ness, Scotland
From here we move to Loch Ness. Its reputation is such that we don’t feel like adding anything else as of yet. At Loch Ness you’ll have the opportunity to get your binoculars out of your rucksack and try to spot Nessie from the Loch’s banks, or hop on a boat for a scenic wee cruise.
Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes
