The Deal
Children aged 4 to 17 can participate in half-hour riding lessons, with sessions for complete beginners and beginners. The complete beginners lessons see each child being led on the lead rein while they learn the basics, while the beginners’ sessions are for those who are comfortable being in control of their pony. Lessons will be conducted in groups of up to eight and will feature work on seat, balance, transitions, paces and position.

The Merchant
Wirral Riding Centre is home to a real ragtag group of cheeky equine friends and set in the Wirral countryside, where the Dee Estuary and Welsh hills gallop together in a striking backdrop. They offer riding lessons in flatwork and jumping, as well as hacks and Pony Club events. The centre’s indoor and outdoor arenas are flanked by a café and tack shop, and they boast changing facilities and free Wi-Fi. The centre also provides training for British Horse Society Qualifications and hosts RDA lessons.

Restrictions: Valid Tue-Thu 4.30pm-Fri 4pm; Sat-Sun midday & 4pm. Beginnere's sessions Tue-Thu 5pm; Fri 4.30pm; Sat-Sun 12.30pm & 4.30pm. Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult. Must be aged 4-17 years to participate. Safety Hat provided. Riders experience to be discussed with riding centre when booking. Lead reign sessions are suitable for Complete Beginners; an adult or competent person must be present to hold the reins and walk at the side of the horse. Beginner lessons are suitable for more confident children, who have been on a horse before or who are confident being in control themselves. Max group size 8 children. Equipment provided.
