The Deal

Water worshippers can enjoy ten swimming passes (usually £4.65 per person per session) to use seven days a week on a variety of sessions. The passes entitle swimmers to attend open swim, lane swim, deep end width lengths, aquafit and young at heart sessions and the large shallow end is suitable for amateur swimmers.

G: What are some of the most fun or unusual facilities that you offer?

"The swimming pool is the largest pool in York built over 100 years ago. This beautiful Edwardian pool has been helping York stay fit for years. Close to the York city centre and one of the country's top tourist destinations, Yearsley Pool is often admired by tourists to the city for its history and service."

G: Does the swimming pool have any slides or special features?

"There are no special features other than during water fun sessions when the inflatable obstacle course is used. It's a traditional no-nonsense pool and as one customer said, it's simply the best."

G: Do you have any facilities for babies or toddlers?

"There are great baby and toddler changing areas, these include large family cubicles each equipped with toddler chairs and changing tables."

G: What about for teenagers?

"Teenagers love the inflatable pool sessions every Sunday. Lots of teenagers use Yearsley Pool as a training ground to be the best they can be. York City Baths Club do a lot of their top squad swim training here at Yearsley Pool, developing gold medallists of the future."

"It would be great to see more Olympians visit the pool. Ellie Simmonds or Rebecca Addlington are top of the list."
