About Ark Wildlife Park
Set in the beautiful Lincolnshire countryside, on the doorstep of the wolds, Ark Wildlife Park is a Lincolnshire zoo that started as an act of kindness. Originally intended as a home to mistreated exotic animals, it currently accommodates a wide variety of creatures, offering the most diverse range of species in the area, ranging from intriguing mammals and reptiles to fearsome carnivores and familiar farmyard friends. Throughout the year, enjoy their unique animal encounter shows with both furry and scaly residents, with their skilled keepers answering any questions, visitors may have, themed events are held through out the year during the school holidays, and the doors remain open in all weather thanks to indoor attractions such as the Tropical House or Activity Barn with indoor climbing frames and giant sandpit and on those sunny days the kids can enjoy their well equipped outdoor play area. Locally made cakes, savouries and drinks can be enjoyed at the Kalahari Cafe. Every day visitors can expect to come face to face with the zoo's residents, including giant snakes, meerkats, caiman crocodiles, raccoons, chameleons, foxes, iguanas and many more. Anyone can tickle a skunk, gain a newfound appreciation for snakes or see the secretive Eurasian lynx in the flesh, there is always something new and exciting at the ARK.
