Pleasant staff and good food.

The eclectic décor had many of the oriental staples, and the food was both delicious and slightly quirky: the savouries were vegetable gyoza (dumplings) with a superb dipping sauce, katsu chicken, soft shell crab sliders with Japanese mayo, nicely marinated tuna tataki, with a fennel and seaweed dressing; and the desserts, chocolate mochi, yet more chocolate in ganache form, but topped with a soured fruit for counterpoint, a tofu mousse with a mango compote delicately floating on top, and, in a deferential cultural cross-fertilisation, scones with jam, cream, and yuzu (a citrus-style) curd. Nicely styled service. An oasis of tranquility too, deep in the hear of the West End.

Lovely calm environment and super attentive service. Good a little slow but very good.

How truly disappointing this experience was! A total rip off, even with the groupon. The tea is not what is pictured on the groupon site, the service was deplorable, and they overcharge you on the gratuity. There was mold on the bread, they never refilled the teapot, the tea was in tea bags, they brought out the tray of food and the tea did not arrive at the table for at least 15 minutes after. You have been warned.
