I had an amazing experience I showed some pics of what I wanted and the lady doing my hair was so sweet and kind I’m quite quiet and she didn’t push me to chat when I didn’t want too, I was offered a drink a few times throughout and she recommended ideas as I want sure what I wanted
Therapist was not available and another stepped in
Thought I was having a neck and scalp massage but it was a back
Stairs to the treatment room
Room was pleasant
I wouldn't reccommend the groupon offer
I had booked for what was described as a "60 min massage with 30 min head massage" (or words to that effect) so clearly, it was going to be a 90 minute massage, or so I thought. Upon booking, I was told by the receptionist it wasn't a 90 minute massage, but a 60 minute one. Owing to this I understood there could have been an error on Groupons side, so then called up and asked if I could add on a further 30 minutes, and was told that would be fine and was booked in for a 90 minute massage (with 2 separate Groupons purchased and both codes redeemed).
My appointment was at 3.15, I arrived at 3.00 so a couple of minutes before my appointment time I filled in the consultation form, nipped to the toilet and got changed whilst the therapist was out of the room. As I had to turn my phone on silent, I knew at this point it was 3.15, therefore my actual massage started just after this time.
The massage itself was just what I had asked for in my consultation, no complaints there apart from the music being slightly loud next to my ear, but the massage was great. At the end of the massage I knew it hadn't been the full time. I checked my phone again to put it back off silent, and it was 4.30... 75 minutes later... not 90 which I had paid extra for, and therefore expected to receive.
I went upstairs and as I was leaving, said to the massage therapist "It was lovely but it wasn't 90 minutes, and given that I'd paid specifically for 90 minutes and paid extra for it, I'm dissappointed" the massage therapist then began to gaslight me profusely into believing it was 90 minutes saying again and again "it was 90 minutes". Bearing in mind, by this point it was only 4.35 (80 minutes after my appointment began). It was like speaking to a brick wall as she continually kept stating "it was 90 minutes". I gave up trying to reason with her as she was not actually making any sense by this point, and then said "it isn't 90 minutes contact or hands on time"... the most confusing thing she said as what else was the 90 minutes supposed to be?
I wouldn't have said anything if I hadn't literally paid for a whole extra Groupon on the pretence it would be for a 90 minute massage. Really dissappointed not only with the situation but also with the therapists unprofessional response. Such a shame as I would have gone back monthly for a massage.
