A decadent afternoon tea at this 5* hotel begins with a prawn cocktail, followed by a selection of sandwiches. Stuffed with fillings suitable for vegetarians and carnivores, the sandwiches will contain concoctions such as cucumber and cream cheese, salmon and horseradish, ham and mustard, plus egg and watercress. As well as a variety of fine pastries, each spread will contain plain or raisin and sultana scones, served with marmalade, strawberry jam, raspberry jam, butter and clotted cream. A choice of white, green, black or herbal tea accompanies the food, while guests can also opt to add a flute of Champagne for a sparkling edge.
