The Deal

A menu of blended subcontinental flavours create an exotic journey into the south east of Asia. The meal begins with starters such as the tangy street snack chicken chaat puri, or a classic vegetable samosa. Mains include the medium-spiced chicken sagwala with spinach, and the rich meat pathia curry, all accompanied by sides, such as the okra-based bendi bhaji, and served along with pilau rice or naan bread. Rounding off the meal, diners can choose from a selection of ice cream or coffees. Customers should note that all menu items are subject to change at any time.

The Merchant

Established in 1979, the Banu Restaurant serves authentic Indian and Bangladeshi cuisine to diners seven days a week, and also offers home delivery. Guests can relax in the contemporary restaurant, characterised by sleek lines, leather upholstered chairs and wooden features. The kitchen team also cater for larger parties and corporate events from their Edgbaston base.
