The Deal

Animal-lovers can enjoy a 90-minute stroll around Vale Farm with an alpaca in tow (usually £35 per person). In small groups, guests will be shown how to halter and gently lead alpacas across the terrain, whilst a member of staff educates participants about what makes the creatures so special. Along the way there will also be opportunities for photos with the alpacas and visitors will receive a drink each. 

Alternatively animal lovers can adopt their very own alpaca for 12 months (usually £65). This package includes a certificate, photo and a fact sheet filled with information about their new furry friend. They will also have the chance to ‘meet and greet’ the adoptee during a pre-arranged visit.

• £18 for a 90-minute ‘walk with alpacas’ experience with drink for one person (49% off)

• £35 for a 90-minute ‘walk with alpacas’ experience with drink for two people (50% off)

• £39 to adopt an alpaca for 12 months (40% off)

The Merchant

An alpaca breeding centre in the heart of Leicestershire, Charnwood Forest Alpacas provide all the services, accessories and facilities needed for the care of the South American animals. Stud services, shearing and animal husbandry are all offered by the team, who use their specialist knowledge to ensure the creatures are well looked after. Young and old alpacas are regularly available to buy, while those without the required time and space can make use of the centre’s livery service.
