The Deal

Sharp shooters and complete beginners can develop their skills during an archery or rifle shooting session at Moor House. Guests can opt for traditional archery with a bow and arrow, elect to fire a bolt from a crossbow, or take aim with a .177 rifle. The sessions can last one or three hours, and an expert will be on hand to pass on tips to help hit that elusive bullseye.

Choose from the following options for archery or rifle shooting:

• £29 for one-hour session for two

• £47 for one-hour session for four

• £59 for one-hour session for six

• £59.90 for three-hour session for two

• £119 for three-hour session for four

• £139.90 for three-hour session for six

The Merchant

Durham Scout County Moor House Adventure Centre provides a base for young people to experience new activities and explore the outdoors. Visitors can take part in archery, climbing, orienteering and frisbee golf, as well as developing survival skills and entering team challenges. The site is run by volunteers, and hosts special events and seasonal celebrations. Based just four miles outside Durham city centre, the site comprises 15 acres of land, woodland, camping fields and a residential centre.
