Varieties

Pieris japonica Passion

• Award-winning new variety of the popular lily of the valley shrub
• Cerise-red-pink flowers
• Plants are covered in bloom all spring
• Has been under development by growers in Holland for more than 15 years

Pieris japonica Ralto

• Also known as Passion Frost
• Can be planted in garden beds or borders as well as in large patio planters
• Reaching up to around a metre tall and wide, the foliage is variegated in creamy white or light yellow
• The first variegated pieris variety to carry lily-of-the-valley-like flowers in deep red-purple
• The plant is attractive in bud as they form over several weeks, to burst out in spring, lasting for several weeks
• Later on, new shoots on the plant are produced in vivid shades of burgundy-scarlet-red
• The blooms carry a light fragrance
• Ideal for a mixed border among dwarf conifers, combined with other shrubs and evergreens
• Also looks great in a large pot on a patio

Pieris japonica Pink Frost

• Bushy and neatly branched, producing a plant that is a mass of dense glossy green leaves that sparkle with creamy-white edges
• Pendent clusters of soft-pink blooms appear in spring
• Looks great among other plants, such as nepeta, alliums, salvias, sedums and geraniums, where its structure and subtle shades through the year compliment them when at their peak

Pieris japonica Katsura

• New pieris from Japan, Katsura boasts large glossy evergreen leaves with eye-catching wine red new growth changing to green with age
• Rose-coloured flowers cascade over the foliage in spring
• Katsura was actually an accidental discovery on a wooded hillside near a Shinto Temple
• Ideal for patio planters, partly shaded shrub border or woodland garden

Pieris japonica Carnival

• New introduction from Holland
• Compact upright evergreen shrub with glossy leaves: bright red when young, then pink and finally green
• Creamy white variegation to the edges
• Ivory white flowers in spring

Shrub fertiliser

• Contains seaweed extracts
• Concentrated
• Feed twice a week in the growing season
• Ideal for potted plants indoors or on the patio or in the garden
• Designed to encourage abundant growth and vibrant colour
