The Hotel
Rumoured to be the coaching inn where Lord Nelson and Lady Hamilton’s love affair blossomed in 1798, the Talbot Hotel Ripley is a place that combines historic features with contemporary amenities.
The bedrooms are located either in the Ripley Wing or the Old Coaching Inn and are decorated in peach and ochre colour schemes, complemented by dark brown wooden furnishings. Each room features a flat screen TV, desk and chair, hot drink-making facilities and en suite bathroom with hairdryer.
Seasonal dishes, ranging from modern a la carte to traditional and seafood specialties, can be savoured in stylish yet informal surroundings in the hotel’s restaurant which overlooks the garden and summer terrace through a glass wall, or in the bar area featuring 15th century beams and open log fires.
