England v Switzerland and v Côte d’Ivoire

England men will host Switzerland and Côte d’Ivoire at Wembley Stadium connected by EE in March 2022. Both fixtures will form a key part of Gareth Southgate’s squad’s preparation for this year’s 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

England last met the Swiss in Portugal in June 2019 when a penalty shoot-out victory, following a goalless draw, secured a bronze medal for the Three Lions at the inaugural UEFA Nations League Finals. In total, the two nations have faced each other on 26 occasions; England with 17 wins to three defeats and six draws. The last of those at Wembley was in September 2015 when Wayne Rooney became the first Englishman to score 50 goals for the national team during a 2-0 UEFA EURO 2016 qualifying victory.

Two-time African champions Côte d’Ivoire may have never previously played at Wembley but their squad includes a number of household names from the English Premier League. Tuesday’s night’s fixture promises to be a magical one under the lights at Wembley Stadium.
