What happens at sessions?
A consultation will be carried out in advance, and if the client is found to be suitable, the implant and crown will be installed at a subsequent treatment session. An X-ray, CT scan and bone augmentation will be performed prior to the treatment, if required. Firstly, the small screw will be fitted into the jaw, and will fuse with the bone over a healing period and act as an imitative root. Once the restorative period is over, customers will return to the dental surgery to have the replacement tooth fitted. Further implants are available for £995 each.
What is a dental implant?
Dental implants are titanium tooth roots used to replace missing teeth. An implant is required to hold the crown in place, with bone augmentation performed in preparation.
What preparation is required?
Clients are advised to maintain good dental hygiene beforehand, possibly visiting a hygienist to ensure teeth are in optimum condition for dental work.
What aftercare is involved?
The procedure includes an aftercare package, involving the following procedures: 2D X-Ray, short after-care consultation and professional dental hygiene treatment around implant site. The procedures are performed once a year in the two years following the treatment.
