- Magnolia stellata * Known for its large, fragrant white flowers that bloom in March and April * Grows to about 3m in height and 4m in width * Suitable for most soil types and thrives in pots as well * Compact, slow-growing nature is ideal for small gardens * No reported toxicity to pets * Requires full sun to partial shade for optimal growth
- Magnolia x soulangeana * Features large, tulip-shaped pinky-white flowers that bloom mid to late spring * Reaches an estimated height of 6m and width of 6m, but can be pruned * Prefers slightly acidic soil or ericaceous compost * No known toxicity to pets * Best in full sun to partial shade for ideal growth
- Magnolia Susan * Displays narrow, goblet-shaped, deep pink flowers that bloom in April, reaching nearly 15cm across * Grows up to 4m high and 3m wide, making it suitable for smaller gardens * Thrives in slightly acidic soil or ericaceous compost when potted * Non-toxic to pets * Prefers full sun to partial shade for optimal growth * Supplied as established potted plants in 9cm pots, ready for planting * Winter hardy perennial, providing year-after-year blooms
