DAY 1: NAIROBI

After your arrival, you will be met by a local representative and transferred to your hotel. Evening - free time.

DAY 2: NAIROBI - OL PEJETA SWEETWATERS

After breakfast at the hotel, you will head north towards Laikipia, traversing breathtaking scenery dotted with rushing mountain streams and tea and coffee fields. Arrive at the lodge in time for lunch, then set off on a safari in the Ol Pejeta reserve, returning to the lodge at sunset.

Dinner and night at the hotel.

DAY 3: SWEETWATERS - LAKE NAKURU

After breakfast, you will set off for Lake Nakuru. Then settle in and enjoy lunch at Savora Lion Hill Lodge. In the afternoon, enjoy a magnificent safari toencounter the Rothschild's giraffe and other iconic African animal species. You will return to the lodge at sunset.

DAY 4: LAKE NAKURU - MASAI MARA

After breakfast at the hotel, you'll set off to explore the Masai Mara Reserve, travelling by 4x4 through acres of rolling wheat and barley farms to Narok, the district capital of this part of Maasailand. From here, you'll cross the vast plains of the Rift Valley, keeping an eye out for herds of giraffes and gazelles, before heading up the Rift Valley escarpment. You will arrive at your lodge in time for lunch and then enjoy a moment of relaxation before returning to the park for your safari, from the afternoon until sunset.

DAY 5: MASAI MARA

Full-day safari in the Masai Mara. The landscape of vast rolling plains, woodlands, riverine forests, and hills is home to millions of animals. Every year, the famous Mara River plays host to the spectacle of the wildebeest migration. The reserve is also a paradise for birds, with over 450 different species.
Return to the lodge at sunset.

DAY 6: MASAI MARA - NAIROBI - DIANI BEACH

After breakfast at the camp, you will leave for the capital of Nairobi where you will have lunch before being transferred to the airport for a domestic flight to Mombasa, which takes around 1 hour. Once you arrive, you will be transferred to your hotel for check-in.

DAY 7 TO DAY 10: DIANI BEACH SEASIDE EXTENSION

Make the most of your seaside extension at Diani Beach, with its fine sandy beaches and turquoise waters. Relax in your hotel, which offers daily entertainment and activities of all kinds. Boat trips to see dolphins, snorkelling, city tours, and cultural visits... there's something for everyone.

Day of arrival and welcome: On disembarking the plane, you will pass through the immigration offices where your visa will be checked. You will then collect your luggage and on your way out a local representative from SawaSawa Africa will be waiting for you in uniform with a sign bearing your name.

Hotel only package: for people booking the "hotel only" package (without international flights), please provide us with your flight details as soon as possible via the contact form in the "Help and contact" section at the bottom of the page, so that we can organise your transfers. The flights you choose should arrive before midday on day 1 and leave after 6 p.m. on day 7 so that you can take full advantage of the tour.

Please note: as indicated, all accommodation is rated four and five-star according to local standards. The services provided may not be equivalent to European four-star and five-star standards.

The visit order may be changed for logistical reasons.

Visa: An e-visa procedure is mandatory prior to departure. This can be processed on the official Kenyan government website. Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months. Once you have applied for an e-visa, you will have to wait up to 4 working days to receive it. We recommend that you print it out and present it when you arrive in Kenya.

Good to know

If you are travelling alone, you will be asked to pay a surcharge for a single room. This additional charge will be automatically included in your quote.

Child rates will be applied for children from 2 to 12 years old in the case where the child shares the room with two adults. If the child is travelling with just one adult, the surcharge may be applied on an adult basis. If your child or children do not fit into the age group mentioned above, the rate will be communicated to you at the time of processing your order. If the room is equipped with a bunk bed, the bed height is not suitable for children under 6 years of age.

For safety reasons, the wellbeing facilities of most establishments are not accessible to children under 16 years old. Similarly, it is possible that some amenities or services require an additional charge or are unavailable for exceptional reasons.

There are several different cities that are typically offered as departure points. Your arrival destination will show in your travel documents.

Depending on the flight schedule, some arrivals or returns may be made at night with early arrival or late departure. You will not always be able to have your room available immediately and will need to refer to the check-in and check-out conditions of the hotel.

In the event that your transfer is not included in your hotel reservation, it may be offered at the time of your reservation as an additional option. Unless specifically mentioned, transfers may be made in groups of 15 to 55 people.

IDENTITY

Please be sure to verify that your necessary Identification documents (passport and/or ID card dependent upon the country to which you will be travelling) have valid expiration dates, i.e. verify your ID documents have not yet expired.
