The Deal

Discerning diners can take their pick of two courses (usually £30) from the fixed dinner menu. Meals can begin with seared tuna and grilled squid, served with green bean salad, thyme gnocchi and green olive tapenade, or Scottish salmon ceviche, served with spiced crisp quinoa, fennel and dill puree. Moving on to the mains, dishes include pork fillet and belly with cannellini, green bean and apple salad, or herb crusted wild hake with leek and pearl barley risotto. Meals can be finished with a flourish with the likes of treacle tart with clotted cream and raspberry sorbet, and are accompanied by a glass of suitably sparkling Prosecco (£7).

The Merchant

Michael Nadra Primrose Hill is a double AA rosette-awarded restaurant, Martini bar and garden on Regent's Canal. The chefs whip up contemporary dishes, created from British, European and Asian ingredients, giving patrons the choice of a la carte or tasting menus. Complete with a conservatory, fireplace room and grade II listed horse tunnel, the venue is a suitably stylish location for dining with friends or a romantic evening meal. Areas are also available for hire for private parties, and a catering service can supply cocktails and canapés as well as sit-down meals.
