The Deal

Tables of two or four might begin their Thai experience with chicken on bamboo skewers, grilled over charcoal served with peanut sauce (usually £4.95) before moving onto a main dish of minced roast duck with roasted rice (£7.95). A variety of vegetarian options are also available such as Thai red curry in coconut milk with tofu, mixed vegetables and sweet basil (£7.50) and assorted seasonal mushroom stir-fried with garlic and pepper (£7) for those with a less carnivorous inclination.

The Merchant

Pots of aromatic curries and pans of sizzling stir-fries line the kitchens of Thai Manor, a traditional South East Asian eatery. The restaurant take care to explain the nature of Thai cuisine saying it is inspired by the stir-fries of China and the curries of India, and yet still maintains a unique taste of its own. A range of menus, a takeaway service and the restaurant's Sunderland city centre location, situated in the newly redeveloped Sunniside area, make it a convenient spot for all.
