Want to participate in Amazon Prime Day but not too sure if you want to commit to a full membership? Luckily you can sign up for Amazon Prime membership for a free 30-day trial for full access to the sale.

If you don’t want to continue with your Prime membership after the Amazon Prime Day sales come to a close, just be sure to cancel your subscription before the renewal day at the end of your 30 days, or you’ll be charged as standard.

Even though you won’t be charged, you’ll still have to add a valid credit or debit card, which will be charged if you forget to cancel.

How do I cancel my Amazon Prime Membership after Amazon Prime Day?

There are several different ways to cancel your Amazon Prime Membership if you don’t want to continue after Amazon Prime Day. If you signed up for your Prime membership directly through the Amazon website, you could cancel your Prime membership at any time through your ‘My Account’ portal on the desktop website. Just make sure you cancel it before your renewal date, which can be found under the ‘Manage membership’ section in ‘My Account’.

From here, you can view your renewal date (your next payment date), your type of Prime membership (e.g. reduced Student rate), and Update or Cancel options. If that seems too complicated, just get in touch with Amazon customer service, either online or via the Amazon Shopping app for cancellation support.
