2. Click ‘Order now’ on the service of your choice and enter your contact information.

Starting the Ancestry subscription

Start tracing your family tree with a visit to the Ancestry membership page. Just choose a subscription plan that suits you and don’t forget to use an Ancestry coupon from us with your purchase.

Activating Ancestry DNA test results

Do this by connecting your kit to your account. Simply head to the ‘Activate your DNA’ page and sign into your account and follow the instructions. You will need the activation code that came with your test kit - keep this safe until you have received your DNA results. Ancestry cannot begin processing your DNA sample until the test has been activated.

Viewing Ancestry DNA results

To check the status of your DNA results, you will need to sign in to your Ancestry account and select the DNA tab. When your results are ready, the status bar will say so and you’ll be able to view the results for your DNA story, matches and circles by clicking on each of these categories.
