Clients can pick up the essentials of bouldering or wall climbing with a choice of beginners’ session. For the bouldering introduction, membership is arranged and an all-day pass is issued, and visitors are also provided with climbing shoes. The session begins with an induction lasting around 30 minutes, before visitors are let loose to climb and scramble over the various slabs, overhangs and verticals. Alternatively, climbing newcomers can pick up some basic skills for scaling walls and rock faces over the course of a pair of three-hour sessions, with putting on harnesses, rope handling and efficient movement all covered.

About The Reach
Scaling the banks of the Thames, The Reach houses an indoor cavern of climbing walls in a spectrum of colours and challenging overhangs. Instructors provide group and one-to-one tuition, as well as sessions for school groups. Training is available for beginners and for more advanced climbers looking to work on specific areas of their technique.
