The Nike Student discount gives you 10% off most clothing, sporting equipment, and footwear for the duration of your studies, direct from Nike’s website. You redeem it via your unique discount code at the checkout, and we’ll explain exactly how to get it in this guide.

Do all students qualify for Nike student discount?

Yes — any student can get a Nike student discount. You can get student discount even if you’re a part-time or mature student, either at college or university. You’ll need a valid email address from the educational institution you’re studying at to qualify, as the discount is validated through UNiDAYS (we’ll explain how below).

Are there any exclusions for Nike student discount?

There are a handful of things that you can’t use the Nike student discount on. It’s not valid alongside any other offers, only valid when buying full-price goods (with the occasional exception, as we’ll explain later). Your basket can’t exceed £500, and you can’t use it to purchase gift cards, Apple products or NikeLab products. You also can’t apply it on Nike.com/launch or retroactively on any previous orders. 

The discount also isn’t valid for delivery, but if you sign up as a member, you’ll get that for free anyway. Stick within these rules and you’ll still be able to receive a student discount on a range of popular items including best-selling trainer models Air Force 1 or Air Max!

You can get a Nike student discount through UNiDAYS membership, which the retailer requires to verify that you are a student. We’ll explain exactly how to do that and set up your membership in the next section.

How to get the Nike student discount with UNiDAYS

Nike partners with UNiDAYS to offer a student discount, which is free to join. As we mentioned, you will need an email address from a valid educational institution to sign up if you’re not already a member. These straightforward steps explain how to start getting the student discount:

• Head to the Nike Student discount page and click on the “join now” button.
• You’ll be given the option to either log in to your UNiDAYS account or set one up.
• If you’re not already a UNiDAYS member, you’ll need to prove you’re a student by verifying that your email address is from a valid educational institution. You can read full details on how to join at the UNiDAYS signup page. 
• Once you are registered, you’ll receive an email with your unique discount code. If you’re lucky, you might get a one-off discount code for a higher reduction (potentially 20%). Save this email!
• When you’re ready to make a purchase, copy and paste the code into the checkout form. If you are signed in as a member on either the app or at Nike.com, the discount should automatically apply at checkout, but always keep the code safe just in case.
• Enjoy the reduced cost of all your sportswear goods!

Can I get Nike student discount with Student Beans?

Sadly not. At present Student Beans doesn’t offer a student discount, but that may change. If you’re a student, it’s worth joining Student Beans anyway for other savings, and then periodically checking its site and this page to see if the situation has changed.

Is Nike student discount available with an NUS/TOTUM card?

As things stand, you can’t secure a student discount via your TOTUM card (formerly NUS), but again this may change. If you become a TOTUM member and get a digital card, there may be offers in the future. Either way, you’ll likely get plenty of substantial savings on other items via TOTUM.

Nike student discount on sale items

Unfortunately, the student discount is only available on full-price items and you can’t use it alongside other offers. It’s worth keeping an eye on this page though as that may change in the future, and occasionally the retailer will offer a student discount on top of other sales during specific promotions.

If you’re studying in Europe, you may be eligible to claim the student discount through UNiDAYS. The discount applies to students at education institutions in the following countries: Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain and Sweden.
